Anna L. McNamara
Anna L. McNamara, 73, of Hovey Township, Parker, passed to eternal rest Tuesday evening at the Parker Personal Care Center following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Fairview Township, Butler County, on Nov. 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Nelson B. Sr. and Sophia Rottman Barger.
Anna graduated from Fairview Township-Karns City High School in 1958.
She was employed for more than 36 years with Indespec at Petrolia, retiring in 2000 as a lab technician.
Anna was a longtime, devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Parker, where over the many years of membership she had served as a Sunday school teacher, church treasurer and member of the session.
She loved caring for her family, her home and tending to her many flower gardens at her home.
She is survived by her two sons, Bradley and his wife, Marci, Wagner of Emlenton and Joel Wagner of Syracuse, N.Y.; her two grandsons, Alec and Evan Wagner; her sister, Karen Barger Ferkich of Glendale, Calif.; her brother and his wife, Nelson Jr. and Edna Barger of Seybertown, East Brady; her niece, Richael (Philip) Anderson and their children, Luke and Levi Anderson; and her nephew, Rich (Heather) Barger and their children, Drew and Taylor Barger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Sandy Wagner, who died in November of 2013, and a special brother-in-law, Eugene Ferkich, who died in 2010.
McNamara — The friends of Anna L. McNamara, who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Wayne Ave., Parker. The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
