Dena M. Cetti

Dena M. Cetti, 92, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

Born on Jan. 10, 1921, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Orsucci) Mariotti.

Dena lived her entire life on the South Side of Butler. She was a 1938 graduate of Butler High School.

During World War II, she worked on military uniforms at the Spaide Shirt Factory. She also sold bonds on Main Street and volunteered as a nurse's aide at the hospital.

She married Robert Cetti on Aug. 21, 1946, after his return from serving in World War II.

Dena was a lifetime member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and was a volunteer cook at St. Michael's School for many years. She loved to read and cook, and she made fantastic cookies.

Dena is survived by two sons, Joseph Cetti and his wife, Sandra, of Butler and Richard Cetti and his wife, Deanna, of Butler; her six grandchildren, Greg Cetti, Jonathan Cetti, Angela Maloney, Wendy Rivers, Jeremy Cetti, and Heidi DiCerbo, and her 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Jack) Cetti, who passed away on June 24, 1997; her sister, Aldemir Mariotti, and her four brothers, Geno Mariotti, Frank Mariotti, Deno Mariotti, and Mario Mariotti.

CETTI — The friends of Dena M. Cetti, who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, will be received at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Burial will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Friday to conduct a Scriptural Wake Service.For more information, go to www.martinfh.net.
