Catherine Rottman

Catherine Louise Rottman, 72, of Karns City passed away Thursday evening at her home.

Mrs. Rottman was born in Butler on Oct. 29, 1941. She was the daughter of James and Eva Zelenski Hurley.

She was a Roman Catholic. Catherine enjoyed country music and the company of her dog. She was retired from the dietary department at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was married in Chicora on Sept. 23, 1986, to Robert A. Rottman. He survives.

Also surviving are four children, Sharon Carben and her husband, Anthony, of Chicora, John Michael Sheptak and his fiancee, Michelle Lasichak, of Chicora, Susan Sheptak of Butler and Pamela McDeavitt and her husband, Richard, of Karns City; four stepchildren, Lori Campbell and her husband, Mike, of Karns City, Tammy Patten and her husband, Paul, of Butler, Robert Rottman Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Eau Claire and Jason Rottman and his wife, Tarina, of Knox; three grandchildren, Nathan Carben, Steven Sheptak and Paige McDeavitt; eight step-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Hurley and his wife, Shirley, of Meridian; her special friend, Bonnie Ross; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

ROTTMAN — A blessing service for Catherine Louise Rottman, who died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City, with the Rev. John M. Butler, pastor of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Bradys Bend, officiating.
