Germaine L. Lantz, 96, of Herman died Monday morning at her home.

Born on July 27, 1917, in Herman, she was a daughter of the late Joseph J. Dittmer and Mary W. (Wolpert) Dittmer.

She was a graduate of Butler High School.

She worked as a post office clerk, working at the Herman Post Office for over 15 years, retiring in 1972.

She was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman and the Jolly 17ers Club.

Surviving are her sons, Richard W. Lantz of Gibsonia and Terrance M. (Mary) Lantz of Herman; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Augustine J. Lantz, who died in January of 1986; a son, Ronald J. Lantz, who died April 21, 1990; a daughter, Bonita Monahan, who died Dec. 13, 2007; five brothers and five sisters.

LANTZ — There will be no visitation for Germaine L. Lantz, who died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
