Dale E. Bauman

Dale E. Bauman, 95, of Natrona Heights died Saturday at the Highland Center in Brackenridge.

Mr. Bauman was born on April 14, 1918, in Saxonburg to the late Edward and Linda Bickett Bauman.

He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a graduate of Westminster College, New Wilmington.

A retired teacher, he taught history in both the Har-Brack and Highlands school districts.

He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church of Natrona Heights. He was a member of the Natrona Heights VFW and the Saxonburg Firemen's Club, where at one time he was part of its marching band. He also collected memorabilia for the John Roebling's Historic Saxonburg Society.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ann E. Haygood Bauman; his children, Kathy Bauman of Latrobe, and Gale Bauman of Alameda, Calif., and his brother, Arthur Bauman of St. Petersburg, Fla.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Eleanor Hensel, Harold Bauman and Dorothy Hartig.

Bauman — Family and friends of Dale E. Bauman, who died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, are invited from 3 to 6 p.m. today to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Justin Judy officiating.
