Terry L. Bailey, 39, of Lower Millers Eddy Road, Parker, Perry Township, Armstrong County, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at his home following a 21-month battle with melanoma. Terry's family and friends were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord.

Terry was born on Oct. 30, 1974, in Butler. He was the son of Earl and Pamela Double Bailey of Karns City.

He was a 1993 graduate of Karns City High School.

He had been employed for nearly 17 years by Indspec Chemical Corp. of Petrolia. Previously, Terry was employed for a number of years by Hey Electric in Butler.

He was a member of Ridgeville United Methodist Church and the Steel Worker's Union Local 6346-25.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, snow skiing and softball. Terry was a loving husband and doting father, caring son and son-in-law, devoted brother, and faithful friend. He was a very proud man and loved his family unconditionally. Terry's most cherished title was that of “Dad.”

His greatest joy was found in teaching his two children valuable and numerous lessons of life. He was involved in all of their interests, especially their sporting events, and looked forward to Sundays as he and the children spent time together riding dirt bikes on the Bailey family farm enjoying the splendors of nature.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Tina Johnston Bailey, who he married on July 25, 1998 at Concord Presbyterian Church in Hooker. He is survived by his daughter, Makala, and his son, Brock. In addition to his parents, Terry is also survived by three brothers, Ken Bailey and his wife, Bobbi, Cris Bailey and his wife, Danielle, and Colin Bailey and his wife, Missy; one sister, Leigh Nagy and her husband, Imre; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rick and Rosalyn Johnston, all of Karns City; his paternal grandfather, Roy Bailey of Karns City; one brother-in-law, Rod Johnston of Petrolia; nine nieces and nephews; a number of cousins; and many good friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother and his maternal grandparents.

BAILEY — Friends of Terry L. Bailey, who died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, Chicora, with the Rev. Pete Sapp, pastor of the Trinity Reformed Church of Bradys Bend, officiating.Memorial contributions may be made to the Petrolia Ambulance Service, P.O.
