Robert W. 'Sneezy' Snyder
Robert W. “Sneezy” Snyder, 84, of Butler passed away at 11:07 a.m. Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born on Nov. 14, 1929, in Pittsburgh to the late Florence Edward Snyder and Margaret (McKee) Snyder.
Mr. Snyder was a 1947 graduate of West Sunbury High School.
He worked at the Sunbeam Coal Co. as a driller before working at Armco in the silicon department for 25½ years, retiring in 1992.
Mr. Snyder was a member of the Faith United Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years, where he served as a deacon, elder and sang in the choir for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and tending his garden.
Mr. Snyder is survived by his wife, Norma (Hariff) Snyder, who he married on April 20, 1956; his daughter, Pamela Snyder of Lexington, Ky.; his two sons, Thomas Snyder and his wife, Gail, of Weddington, N.C., and James R. Snyder of Butler; his two grandchildren, Tucker and Magdalyn Snyder; several nieces and nephews, and his little dog, Krissy.
SNYDER — The friends of Robert W. “Sneezy” Snyder, who died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Aull of the Faith United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N.
