Shelia A. Zwahlen

Shelia A. Zwahlen, 80, of Cabot died Saturday afternoon at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born on Sept. 7, 1933, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late John Ruane and Sarah (Conway) Ruane.

She attended Northeastern University in Boston and was a retired computer administrator for various companies, following 32 years. She had lived in California for eight years, and other parts of the country before returning to Western Pennsylvania in 1991.

Surviving are her siblings, Pat (Tex) Ritter, Bill Ruane, Rosemary (Pete) Parish, Noreen (Earl) Campbell and Chris (Jim) Brining.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Zwahlen, who she married in 1952. He died in 2009. She also was preceded by her brother, John Ruane, and her sister, Anne Allen.

Zwahlen — The family and friends of Shelia A. Zwahlen, who died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, are invited to gather at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from noon to 1 p.m. Friday. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Inurnment will then take place along with her late husband at The Cemetery of the Alleghenies National Cemetery, Bridgeville, Pa.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
