Frances Fisher

Frances Fisher, 83, of Portersville passed away Sunday morning at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Frances was born on Sept. 26, 1930, in Harlansburg to the late Waldo and Julia Boehm Barron.

She married Calvin Fisher on June 24, 1950. Mrs. Fisher made a home for her husband and two daughters. Frances was a leader in a 4-H Club and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and most of all, spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Jeanne Park and Mary Ann and her husband, Gregory Tomo, all of Portersville; her two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and his wife, Claire, and Fred and his wife, Sue Barron, all of Slippery Rock; her five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Fisher was preceded in passing by her parents; her brother, Robert Barron, and her great-grandson, Jonah G. Francic.

FISHER — The visitation for Frances Fisher, who passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. John Yergan will officiate.Online condolences can be left and viewed by visiting www.cunninghamfh.com.
