Joshua T. Young

Joshua T. Young, 16, of Evans City died Monday afternoon at Children's Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born on Jan. 16, 1997, in Ellwood City, he was the son of Cassandra “Sandy” Young and David Von Zagorski.

He was an 11th grade student at Seneca Valley High School, where he also attended Butler County Vocational-Technical School in Butler.

He enjoyed Air Soft War Games, loved fishing and playing backyard football. He also liked military history.

Joshua donated his organs to help others.

He is survived by his parents, Cassandra “Sandy” Young and her fiance, Vince Dillon of Evans City; his father, David Von Zagorski of Cranberry Township; his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Joyce Young of Evans City; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Prince of Florida; his four sisters, Tamara (Stony) Pine of Mercersburg, Amanda (Brandon) Combs and Tabatha Beidl, both of Wyoming, and Natasha Von Zagorski of Butler; his brother, Timothy Beidl of Evans City; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

YOUNG — The family of Joshua T. Young, who died Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, will welcome friends at theA. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
