BUTLER TWP — Northwest Savings Bank has donated $10,000 to Lifesteps through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program, which enables businesses to receive tax credits when a donation is made to a scholarship organization.
Lifesteps gives scholarships to preschool children.
Ben Jamieson, district manager of Northwest Savings Bank, said, “Lifesteps helps build our community, and as a community bank, Northwest is proud and happy to support the work it does.”
Lifesteps, a nonprofit agency, offers family services in Western Pennsylvania.
WARREN, Pa. — Northwest Savings Bank is buying Evans Capital Management, an Erie-based financial advisory firm that manages or administers more than $240 million in assets.The transaction is expected to close Jan. 1.The bank also will buy Employee Benefit Resources, an employee benefits and consulting insurance firm owned by the owners of Evans Capital.
Stantec architect Rob Pillar has received the Certified Educational Facility Planner designation, which reflects superior knowledge, skills and abilities of educational facility planners.Based in Stantec's Butler office, Pillar has spent his career designing educational facilities.
