Barbara Sporrer

Barbara Joan (Dietels) Sporrer, 74, of Evans City, formerly of Ross Township, passed away Sunday in the morning hours surrounded by her family.

Born on June 3, 1939, in Ross Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Audine Dietels Sr.

Joan was a Catholic and a member of the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township. She was a homemaker and also worked outside the home as a secretary. She enjoyed reading, crafting, gardening, but above all, spending time with her family.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, John L. Sporrer, who she married on May 31, 1958; her three daughters, Jean (Phil) Bartek of North Hills, Tami (Andy) Watson of Evans City and Heidi (Tom) Hodder of Ellwood City; her five grandchildren, Russel Bartek, Marie (Daniel) Beaton, Lily Watson, Mindi and Baylee Hodder; her sister, Judy Polaritz of Bellevue; her brother, Robert J. (Susan) Dietels Jr. of Moon Township; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Deanna Bartek.

SPORRER — The family of Barbara Joan (Dietels) Sporrer, who passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, will welcome friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E.
