Matthew Ratay

Matthew Ryan “Matt” Ratay, 32, of Renfrew passed away Tuesday.

Born April 4, 1981, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Eugene E. and Cathy (Cloonan) Ratay.

Matt graduated from Seneca Valley High School, Class of 2000. He appreciated musical endeavors and playing guitar. Matt enjoyed weightlifting, practicing taekwondo and was proud of his prior missionary work. Above all, he was a loving son, brother and friend who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

In addition to his parents, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his four siblings, Jason Ratay and his wife, Susan, of Ohio, Jeffrey Ratay of Pittsburgh, Lisa Steiner and her husband, Jason, of West Mifflin and Theresa Ratay of Texas; his niece and nephew, Laci and Jason Steiner; his stepgrandmother, Marci Cloonan of Florida; and numerous extended relatives and friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

RATAY — The family of Matthew Ryan “Matt” Ratay, who died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, will welcome friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.The funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Peter's Reformed Church, 314-320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. James R. Bertoti officiating.
