David L. Caldwell

David L. Caldwell, 63, of Butler passed away at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born on Feb. 24, 1950, in Butler, the son of the late Wilbur Caldwell and Viola (Ballew) Caldwell.

David was a veteran of U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam.

He was a member of the VFW Post 249.

He was an auto body technician, working in several body shops in Butler.

He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Raylene Caldwell, who he married on April 24, 1982; three daughters, Brandy, Kristen and Richelle Caldwell, all of Butler; two sons, David Caldwell Jr. and Chad “Blinky” Caldwell, both of Butler, several grandchildren; five sisters, Caroline Christy, Nancy (Keith) Patton, Jean Mehelich, all of Butler, Delores (Dave) Cope and Wilda (William) Mueller, both of Ohio, and two brothers, Wilbur (Linda) Caldwell of Indiana and Timothy (Shirlee) Caldwell of Maine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
