Norman R. Fair Sr.
Norman R. Fair Sr., 74, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the VNA Hospice in Butler.
He was born on June 27, 1939, in Cadogan, Pa., to the late Cloyd and Anastasia Shuttleworth.
He was the husband of Helen Spachtholz; they were married on Aug. 20, 1960.
He worked in the maintenance department at ARMCO until his retirement on July 5, 1996.
He was a member of the Moose, a social member of East Butler Fire Department, a social member of the American Legion in Linesville, Pa., a social member of the Eagles in Ford City and a member of the Happy Hunters Sportsman Club in Fenelton. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife; his two daughters, Diane Gillen of Florida and Emerald Adamik of Butler; his son, Norman R. (Shelly) Fair Jr. of Butler; his two grandsons, Jason (Molly) Fair and Craig Gillen; his two granddaughters, Lindsey Gillen and Danica Adamik; his brother, Cloyd W. (Patricia) Fair of Butler; his sister, Doris Cesare of Cadogan, Pa.; and his numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his sister.
FAIR — The friends of Norman R. Fair Sr., who passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. A blessing service will be at the funeral home at noon Friday, with the Rev.
