Sarah Elizabeth Adams
Sarah Elizabeth Adams, 83, of Emlenton, Richland Township, Pa., passed away at 9:15 a.m. Sunday at her home.
Born in New Castle, she was the daughter of Hugh Price and Maryanna Seszko Price.
She married Eugene Adams, who preceded her in death in 1990.
She had worked at Furman University in South Carolina and later at Slippery Rock University in building maintenance and custodial care.
Sarah was active in the Red Hats in Grove City and was a member of the Knox Branch Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved gardening, loved being outdoors, loved to read, loved her John Deere tractor, and loved scrapbooking. She was loved to the end.
Surviving are her son and daughter, Charles Adams and Mary Gilbert, both of South Carolina; her two granddaughters, Lee Ann and Christiana; her grandson, Mychal; her “adopted children,” Michael and Ruthie MacDonald of Emlenton, and her “adopted grandchildren,” Tristan, Rhonda, Scott (Sherry), Stacy (Leo), Chet (Patty); and Mark.
ADAMS — The friends of Sarah Elizabeth Adams, who passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon Wednesday with Counselor John Kaspar, Knox Branch Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, presiding.The funeral services will be at the funeral home at noon Wednesday. Interment will be in New Castle, Pa.
