Thomas A. Snyder, 73, 398 Steighner Road, Fenelton, died Monday evening at his home following an illness.

Born on Jan. 5, 1940, in Coylesville, he was a son of the late Harry S. Snyder Sr. and Clara A. (Nugent) Snyder.

He was a farmer and the road supervisor for Clearfield Township for 18 years.

Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and repairing machinery. He was a member of the St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.

Surviving are his wife, Rose Marie (Leech) Snyder, who he married on July 17, 1976; his two brothers, John J. Snyder Sr. and Leo E. Snyder of Fenelton; his two sisters, Theresa A. Snyder and Margaret M. Graham, both of Fenelton; and his numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his four brothers and his three sisters.

SNYDER — The friends of Thomas A. Snyder, who died Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville. Interment will follow in St. John’s Parish Cemetery.
