Andrew Manning Pounds II

Andrew Manning Pounds II, 43, of 1585 Fox St., Ellwood City, passed away Sunday in Hagerstown, Md., where he was working, surrounded by his family.

Born on Feb. 18, 1970, in New Castle, Andrew was the son of Ralph Pounds Sr. and the late Edith Duncan Pounds.

Andrew is survived by his children, Andrew Manning Mercado, Michael, Melinda, Adam, Justin, Joseph, Tiffany, Zachary, Tyler, Cullen, Carissa, Kylie and Ella-Mae Pounds; his five grandchildren, Emily Mercado, Ralph L. Pounds IV, Joseph Pounds, Raeghan Pounds and Marcus Ellis; his brother, John Pounds of Enon Valley; and his sister, Irona Carr of Ellwood City.

In addition to his mother, Andrew was preceded in death by his son, Franklin L. Pounds; his brother, Ralph L. Pounds II; his brother-in-law, Raymond M. Carr; his two nephews, Ralph L. Pounds III and John A. Pounds Jr.; and his grandparents, Leroy and Gladys Peak Pounds and Orville and Helen Bauder Duncan.

POUNDS — The friends of Andrew Manning Pounds II, who passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Joseph A. Tomon Jr. Funeral Home, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport.

A funeral service will be at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Thomas Meling of the Zion Baptist Church officiating.

Interment will follow in Zion Baptist Cemetery.
