PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates have added four players to the 40-man roster, including highly touted outfield prospect Gregory Polanco.

The Pirates also placed infielder Alen Hanson, left-handed starter Joely Rodriguez and right-handed starter Casey Sadler on the 40-man Wednesday.

Polanco hit .285 with 30 doubles, two triples, 12 home runs, 71 RBIs and 38 stolen bases in 127 minor league games this year.
