ALTOONA — Butler graduate and Penn State-Altoona freshman bowler Brea Suchonic has been named the program's first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Bowler of the Week.

Suchonic averaged 17.18 pins per frame in 40 frames of baker games Sunday.

PITTSBURGH — Butler graduate and La Roche College senior guard Casie Cygan has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.Cygan averaged 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game in leading the Redhawks to the Penn State-Beaver Tip-Off Tournament title.She now has 1,135 career points at La Roche.

BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Community College men's basketball team remained winless on the season, dropping a 96-56 decision to Garrett CC Monday night.Cody West scored 22 points for the Pioneers while Tom Bruce grabbed seven rebounds.
