Kenneth F. Reese
Kenneth F. Reese, 89, of Butler, formerly of East Brady, died Wednesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born on Nov. 12, 1923, in Kaylor, he was the son of Fredrick and Lena C. (Donawitz) Reese.
On Oct. 25, 1952, Ken married the late Shirley A. Warner.
He was employed by the Rex Hide Corp. for 28 years, then for Indespec Chemical, and he retired in 1988 after 10 years.
Ken was an avid bowler and a great gardener. He enjoyed the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.
Surviving are his four daughters, Jan Bonner and her husband, Jeffery, of Cowansville, Kelly Brown and her husband, Dale, of Petrolia, Deborah Jack and her husband, Bruce, of Adrian and Beth Pottinger and her husband, Bill, of Pasadena, Md., and his son, Kenneth Reese and his wife, Judy, of Jacksonville, Fla. He is also survived by his sister, Mildred “Becky” Barr of Rochester, Pa., 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his wife on Aug. 26, 2000, and his four brothers.
REESE — The friends of Kenneth F. Reese, who died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Buechele Funeral Home, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady. Please note the new location of the funeral home.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bradys Bend Cemetery will follow.
