ELLWOOD CITY — Kasing Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram has been sold to the Napleton family of the Chicago area and now is Napleton Ellwood City Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

It is at 1000 Lawrence Ave.

Pete Grinnell, partner and general manager of the new car dealer, said, “I grew up in Harmony so this is like coming home for me. My brother, Jay Grinnell, was married to Linda Kasing and worked at the dealership for 27 years.

“I spent a lot of my formative years learning the car business in this very dealership.”

He added, “While the dealership may be under new ownership, the sales, service and parts staff from Kasing are still there to provide you with a superior service experience.”

The Kasings continue to have a hand in the business as Jerry Kasing, who spent 50 years with the dealership, plans to stay with Napleton.

The dealership has changed hands from one family company to another.

In 1931, Edward W. Napleton opened a small DeSoto franchise on Chicago’s South Side.

Now the Napleton family owns 53 franchises in six states and has a fourth generation in the business.
