In loving memory of our beloved Ruth I. Gray, who passed November 7, 1996.

Little we knew that night

The sorrow it would bring;

The loss was great, the shock severe,

To part with one we loved so dear.

We could not say the last farewell or even say goodbye,

For you had gone before we knew,

But only god knows why.

A heart of gold stopped beating,

Two smiling eyes at rest,

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best.
