MECHANICSVILLE, Va. — Butler graduate Danica Snyder, a junior on the Duquesne University women's cross country team, helped the Dukes win the Atlantic 10 championship over the weekend.

Snyder finished 16th in the conference meet with a time of 17 minutes, 43.6 seconds. The A-10 title was the first in Duquesne's women's cross country history and the first conference title for the school since the men's cross country team won in 2005.

PITTSBURGH — Butler graduate and Point Park University senior guard/forward Katresa Savisky has been named Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.Savisky scored 19 points, grabbed six rebounds and had three steals in the Pioneers' 77-74 win over Madonna. Point Park is 2-0 on the season.

LOCK HAVEN — Because an NCAA violation caused West Chester to forfeit its final two conference games, Slippery Rock University's men's soccer team has been elevated to the No. 2 seed in the PSAC Tournament.The Rock now receives a bye into the PSAC semifinals, where it will face the Seton Hill-Millersville winner Friday at Mercyhurst.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University forward Dom Francis has been named PSAC Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week.Francis assisted on the tying goal with 1:31 remaining in SRU’s come-from-behind 4-3 win over Millersville. He then scored the game-winning tally with eight seconds left.
