David G. Raisley

David G. Raisley, 74, of Summerville, S.C., formerly of Valencia, passed away Tuesday at his home.

He was the husband of Faye Dryden Raisley.

Mr. Raisley was born April 18, 1939, in Butler, the son of the late Donald Raisley and Phylis Ellis Raisley.

Mr. Raisley retired from Field Accounting Service as a manager and UC Tax Agent at the Butler State Unemployment Office. He was a past member of SPEBSQSA Butler Notables, Penn Ohio Singers and North Hills Harmony Line Chorus in Pennsylvania.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was a lifetime member of the USS Helena (CA-75) organization out of Long Beach, Calif., and a member of the American Legion Post in West View, Pa. He also was a member of the Charleston Emergency Response Team, and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Faye, are his two sons, Scott and Steven; his daughter-in-law, Vicki; his stepgrandson, Darren Callihan, all of Summerville, S.C.; and his two brothers, Mark of Prescott, Ariz., and Douglas of Summerville, S.C.

RAISLEY — A gathering of friends and family for David G. Raisley, who passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. today at Bethany United Methodist Church, Spell Chapel, 118 West 3rd St., Summerville, SC.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to JAMES A.
