Minnie R. Weitzel
Minnie R. Weitzel, 87, of Butler passed away Sunday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family.
Born Feb. 5, 1926, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Vendel and Josephine Zarko Pincek.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and the 55 and Alive of St. Michael's.
She was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Weitzel and his wife, Carol, of Butler; her daughter, Linda Smietana and her husband, Dennis, of Butler; her four grandchildren, Lisa Weitzel, David Weitzel, Cole Smietana and Paige Smietana, and her three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Plummer Weitzel Jr., who passed away Oct. 10, 2006. She also was preceded in death by her two sons, David Weitzel and John Weitzel; her sister, Anne House, and her four brothers, Joseph, Stephen, John and Isadore Pincek.

Weitzel, who passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, will be received in Martin Funeral Home Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.Burial will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Wednesday to conduct a Scriptural Wake Service.For more information, go to www.martinfh.net
