Katherine Eleanora Haas Fry, 100, of Cabot passed away Thursday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born Sept. 3, 1913, in Sarver, she was the daughter of the late George and Catherine (Mosbaugh) Haas.

Katherine was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sarver.

She had a great love for life, meeting people and travel. She worked well into her 80s at Lernerville Speedway and Meals on Wheels and as a sexton at her church. She was a member of her 500 card club for 50 years.

She is survived by her nephews, Teddy L. (Dana) Haas and Sydney Haas, both of Sarver; her niece, Imy Rosenblatt of Pittsburgh; her great-nephews, Jesse (Alicia) Haas and Kevin Haas; and her great-great-nephews, Jayson and Evan Haas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Luke” Fry, who passed away Dec. 8, 1981; and her brothers, Andrew Haas and Sydney Haas.

FRY — Friends of Katherine Eleanora Haas Fry, who died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Sarverville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sarver.
