PITTSBURGH — A student who dressed as a homeless man for a drama assignment was so convincing that he fooled school officials and ended up getting suspended for two days. Senior Michael Bodomov received an assignment last month to create and act as a character for a day at Mount Lebanon High School.

Michael showed up at school dressed in multiple coats, with ink smeared on his face and plastic bags for socks, and school officials didn’t recognize him.

The situation escalated when he didn’t immediately break character. Police were called, and he was suspended for not identifying himself. Michael’s mother says the school was just being safe in a strange situation. She isn’t upset with the suspension.
