Claire (Pollifrone) Klein passed away Aug. 6 in Santa Clara, Calif., where she had made her home since 1969.

She was born in Butler Feb. 5, 1932. She was an avid roller skater while growing up in Butler. She graduated from Butler High School in 1950.

She worked at Jaffe's Department Store. She retired from AT&T while in California.

She is survived by one brother, Louis Pollifrone and his wife, Gloria, of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews, some of who are still living in Italy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pasquale and Victoria Pollifrone, originally from Benestare, Italy; five brothers; and three sisters.
