Jennie H. Vrabel
Jennie H. Vrabel, 86, of Sarver passed away Thursday at Allegheny Valley Hospital.
Born Dec. 31, 1926, in Tarentum, she was the daughter of Robert Jones and Hazel Smith Jones.
Jennie had worked as a clerk typist for the State of Pennsylvania. After her retirement, she taught piano lessons in her home.
She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and the Butler Writers Guild. She enjoyed reading, writing, singing and playing the piano.
Surviving are one son, Michael Vrabel of Fenelton; three daughters, Becki (Douglas) Brownlee of Leechburg, Bobbi (Allen) Stasiak of Mount Joy and Gina (Danny) Johnson of Angola, Ind.; her brother, David Jones of Pleasant Hills; two granddaughters, Tara (Dan) Nolte and Rhiannon (Ryan) Burkett; and her great-grandchildren, Steven and Alyssa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard Jones.
VRABEL — Friends of Jennie H. Vrabel, who died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
