Matthew L. Fockler

Matthew L. Fockler, 22, of Butler, formerly of Parker, Allegheny Township, Butler County, died Wednesday evening in Butler.

Matthew was born in Kittanning on Feb. 10, 1991. He was the son of Sandra A. Fockler Carlson of Butler and Martin J. Martin of Butler.

He was a 2009 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in Foxburg. He enjoyed playing guitar, heavy metal music, especially The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and having fun with his friends. He had been employed for several years at Parks Moving and Storage in Warrendale.

In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Shirley A. Fockler of Parker, with whom he made his home for many years; a brother, Jonathan S. Cleary of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Tiffany Carlson of Butler and Katlyn Carlson of Daytona, Fla.; an uncle, Karl Fockler of Parker; an aunt, Brenda Ebrahim of Yucaipa, Calif.; his great uncles, John and David Seelbaugh of Parker, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Irvin Fockler; his maternal great-grandmother, Jean Seelbaugh; an aunt, Rhonda Fockler, and an uncle, Eric Fockler.

FOCKLER — Friends of Matthew L. Fockler, who died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home, 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A service and time of sharing led by his grandmother, Shirley, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
