Game 2 of the Pittsburgh Pirates-St. Louis Cardinals National League Division Series, scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, will not be available on Armstrong Cable.

The game is being televised solely on MLB Network, a station Armstrong does not carry.

“We contacted MLB and tried to work a deal where we could air the game on another station, but those negotiations proved unsuccessful,” an Armstrong representative said.

The representative said the cable company has been fielding many calls about the second game’s airing.

Armstrong indicated the game is available for viewing at MLB.com for a fee of $4.99. A video screen outside PNC Park will show the game as well.

Armstrong is carrying today’s game and all games other than Friday’s game on the TBS network.
