Angela Cara Jordan
Angela Cara Snow Jordan, 39, of Main Hill, Petrolia, departed this life as an angel and went to be with the Lord on Friday morning at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh.
Angela was born in Butler on July 12, 1974. She was the daughter of Jean Marie Hall Snow Barger and the late LaVern Snow.
Angela was a 1992 graduate of Karns City High School and had attended Indiana (Pa.) University. She was employed by Sonneborn in Petrolia, was a member of the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department and had been a long time member of the Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora.
Angela had a beautiful voice and enjoyed country music and singing karaoke. She was known for her happy smile. Angela enjoyed taking walks, spending time with children, her pet Yorkies, horses, watching football and swimming.
She is survived by her husband, Robert P. Jordan of Petrolia, who she married in Fairview on July 13, 2013; her mother and stepfather, Jean M. and Carl R. Barger of Petrolia; three stepchildren, Tyler M. Jordan of Petrolia, Ashley Jordan and Robert P. Jordan Jr., both of Butler; two brothers, Patrick A. Snow of Bruin and Lawrence L. Snow and his wife, Lisa, of Fredericksburg, Va.; four sisters, Joanne Marie Wymer and her husband, Robert, of Butler, Donna Jean Thompson and her husband, Benjamin, of Bruin, Mary Susanne Wilson and her husband, Walter, of West Sunbury, and Beverly A. Bastian and her husband, Jeffrey, of Bruin; one stepbrother, Carl Barger and his wife, Barb, of Karns City; two stepsisters, Michelle Barger of Denver, Colo., and Laura Smith of Phoenix, Ariz.; father-in-law, Thomas Jordan of Bruin; her mother-in-law, MaryBell Bray of Chicora; two brothers-in-law, William Jordan of Saxonburg and Shawn Ealy of Chicora; on sister-in-law, Cindy Crilley of Chicora; as well as a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Angela was preceded in death by her father, LaVern Snow, who died on July 8, 1989; her paternal grandmother, Lydia Sheakley, who died July 6, 1989; her maternal grandparents, Ralph Hall, who died Dec. 6, 2001, and Virginia Hall, who died July 6, 2008.
JORDAN — Friends of Angela Cara Snow Jordan, who died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Pudichery, church pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia.
