Spider gets blame in 1-car crash
OIL CITY — State police said a spider was to blame for a car accident. The Saturday afternoon crash in Cornplanter Township happened about 4:45 p.m.
Authorities said 26-year-old Alek Tarr of Oil City was driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix when he was distracted by a spider crawling around in the vehicle. Tarr failed to navigate a left curve and the car went off the side of the road.
Tarr and his passenger were unhurt, but the fate of the spider is unknown.
