NEW YORK — The Knicks and Nets are working together to split the NBA All-Star weekend in New York City in 2015.The game will be played at Madison Square Garden and the slam dunk contest and other skills events held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.The announcement completes about two years of planning, an idea brought to the teams by the league to share the three-day weekend.

Brown, a senior quarterback for the University of Maryland's football team, has played very well in the Terrapins' 4-0 start to the season.Brown has completed 66 of 99 passes for 1,043 yards, with seven touchdowns and just one interception.He has added 283 yards rushing and leads the team with six rushing touchdowns.Maryland travels to Florida State Oct. 5.
ALLISON PARK — Slippery Rock High School graduate Brian Giesler, a junior on the Grove City College golf team, earned medalist honors Tuesday at the La Roche Invitational.Giesler carded a 74 as the Wolverines won the eight-team event with a score of 328. Westminster finished in second with a 334.
