Robert L. Dunn Sr., 79, of Chicora passed away Thursday at his home.

Robert was born Feb. 23, 1934, in Butler, the son of the late Harold Montgomery Dunn and the late Martha (Raisley) Dunn.

Robert was a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church, the American Legion Post 243, the Cherry Valley VFW and the Lawrence County Wool Growers Association.

He was a veteran of U.S. Army.

He retired from Agway Petroleum and had worked at Bradagin. He loved farming.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley (Klepper) Dunn; his daughter, Robin (William) Kreutz of Slippery Rock; three sons, Robert (Cindy) Dunn Jr. of Hooker, John (Ruth) Dunn of Greenville and Richard (Christen) Dunn of New Castle; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Dunn; two sisters; and two brothers.

DUNN — Friends of Robert L. Dunn Sr., who passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.The funeral service will be at the Concord Presbyterian Church, 625 Hooker Road, West Sunbury, at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Kevin Channell officiating, assisted by the Rev. Robert V. Mathias. Private burial will be in Concord Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Concord Presbyterian Church.
