Violet (Senjan) Byrer, 88, of Valencia, Middlesex Township, passed away Tuesday.

Born on Aug. 19, 1924, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Josephine (Buncek) Senjan.

Violet was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in World War II.

She also was a past president and member of W.A.V.E.S., Pittsburgh Chapter 28.

She was the beloved wife for 67 years of Benjamin J. Byrer; loving mother of Lili J. Byrer of Gibsonia; proud grandmother of R. Ian Kelly of Gibsonia, and an aunt of Julie Meyer, George Senjan, Steve Senjan and Burt Vujnobich.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Milan and George Senjan and Anna Raynovich.
