Tyler Shreve

Tyler James Shreve, 19, of Parker passed away Sunday as a result of an ATV accident.

He was born April 17, 1994, in Las Vegas, Nev., the son of Brian L. and Melissa K. (Pisor) Shreve.

Tyler lived in the Petroleum Valley area most of his life and graduated from Karns City High School, Class of 2012.

He was employed with Jeffrey Barlett Masonary as a laborer.

Tyler was a true outdoorsman and was happiest when outside in the woods. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, archery, riding ATVs and, most recently, golfing. He was a friend to all who knew him, and he was always looking to help others any way he could, with random acts of kindness that made someone else's day a little better. Tyler also had a special place in his heart for his dog, Chester. Those who knew him will always remember his giving nature and his huge heart of gold.

He will be remembered with love by his parents, Brian and Melissa (Pisor) Shreve of Parker; his brothers, Nathanael Shreve of Kansas City, Mo., and Brian Shreve Jr. of Parker; his sister, Sarah Shreve of Petrolia; a niece, Brooklyn Rea Thompson; his paternal grandparents, Hershel Shreve of Etna and Mary Jackson of Butler; his maternal grandmother, Linda Pisor of Bruin; his girlfriend, Sydney Smith of Petrolia; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Pisor Sr.

SHREVE — The family and friends of Tyler James Shreve, who passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 102 Argyle St., Petrolia.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Petrolia Presbyterian Church, 107 S. Argyle St., Petrolia, with the Rev. Pete Sapp officiating.
