Mrs. Jennie R. Ferruchie, 93, of Ellwood City passed away at 8 a.m. Thursday in the Avalon Nursing Center.

Mrs. Ferruchie was born on Nov. 25, 1919, in Butler to the late Antonio and Florence Macefe Gregory.

She had attended Butler High School and was a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish.

Jennie had worked for Riccio’s Dry Cleaning in Ellwood City for more than 20 years.

She enjoyed cooking and being with her family.

Mrs. Ferruchie is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James A. (Sharla) Ferruchie of Ellwood City; three grandchildren, Michael Ferruchie, Laura Ferruchie and Jennifer Pitelka-Shazer; and her son-in-law, Frank Pitelka of Ellwood City. She also is survived by her nieces and nephews, Ralph and Marlene West of Pittsburgh, and Marie and Steve Russell of Ft. Wayne, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James V. Ferruchie, in 2009; her daughter, Cindy L. Pitelka in 2007; four brothers, Tony, Sam, Leonard and Richard Gregory; and four sisters, Ann West, Mary West, Helen Sequite and Susan Romano.

Ferruchie — As per her request, there will be no public visitation or services for Mrs. Jennie R. Ferruchie, who passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013.
