David Robert Byers
David Robert Byers, 63, of Kissimmee, Fla., passed away Saturday at his home after a short illness.
He was born on May 1, 1950, in Butler to Robert and Beverly (Lane) Byers.
David was a 1968 graduate of Moniteau High School and a 1975 graduate of Grove City College. He worked at Pullman Standard until 1980, when he moved to Florida. He retired in 2007 from the Darden Corp. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and flea markets.
He married Lucinda (Cindy) Cover Byers on May 1, 1984, and she survives.
Also surviving are his father, Robert C. Byers of Karns City; one son, David Clayton Byers of Kissimmee, Fla.; one daughter, Julie Ann Byers, also of Kissimmee, Fla.; two brothers, Daniel (Ginger) Byers of Erie, Pa., and Michael (Cindy) Byers of Karns City; and four nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and one nephew.
BYERS — A private memorial service for David Robert Byers, who passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, was in Kissimmee, and at his request, his ashes will be scattered at his favorite fishing river in Alaska.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, Butler.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
