Demetro Contompasis Svolos, 95, of Butler passed away Sunday.

Born on Oct. 7, 1917, in Schenectady, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late George and Vasilike Exns Contompasis.

She was the wife of the late James S. Svolos.

She is survived by two sons, Anthony Svolos and his wife, Patricia, and George Svolos and his wife, Christie; grandchildren, Nicole, Kristen and Jonathan Svolos and Stephanie, James, Alexandria, Sydney and Ansley Svolos; sister, Hanthy Giftos and the late Charles; two brothers, Peter Contompasis and the late Ann and Petro Contompasis and his wife, Koula; and several nieces and nephews.

Svolos — There were no visitations for Demetro Contompasis Svolos, who passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013. A service will be at the St. George's Greek Orthodox Church, Clinton St., Schenectady, N.Y., on Friday at a time to be determined. Interment will be at Parkview Cemetery, Schenectady, N.Y.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Butler Public Library or to the charity of one's choice.
