Jerry Wolf

Jerry R. Wolf, 60, of Summerville, Pa., passed away on a beautiful Thursday afternoon under the loving care of the VNA Hospice in Butler.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Leroy and Hazel Ferry. Jerry was raised in Long Island, N.Y.

After traveling cross country to study life and learn his trade, Jerry relocated his talents to Summerville, Pa., where he worked as a carpenter and contractor for more than 30 years. Jerry enjoyed sailing, music, history and the mysteries of nature.

Jerry is survived and will be missed by his wife, Susan Wolf; his son, Kip Wolf (Misty) of Chantilly, Va.; his beloved granddaughters and fellow sailors, Morgan and Madison Wolf; his stepdaughter, Erin Deviny (Mark) of Boca Raton, Fla.; his sisters, Priscilla Ferry of Clarksville, N.Y., and Alana Ferry of Rome, Italy. Jerry also is survived by his brother, Patrick Ferry and his family; four cherished nephews, and three great-nieces.

WOLF — At his request, there will be no public viewing or service for Jerry R. Wolf, who passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013. A private celebration of his life will be hosted later by the family.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you make a memorial contribution to either the Moraine Sailing Club, P.O. Box 15120, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.Arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
