Moraine State Park will have a stargazing party at 8 p.m. Friday near the North Shore bike rental. The historic oil well on Park Road will be operating from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 14 and Oct. 12. Call 724-368-8811.

McConnells Mill State Park in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, will hold its heritage festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 28 and 29.
