ALLEGHENY TWP, Westmoreland County — The Freeport Volunteer Fire Department will give tours of a fire engine Saturday at the Freeport Theatre Festival as part of the festivities celebrating a new musical.

“Rivertown Firemen's Jubilee” continues through Sept. 8. The play is about volunteer firemen who risk their lives to save their neighbors and who also happen to be members of a famous firemen's band.

Curtain is at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Sept. 1, 6, 7 and 8 at the theater on the Steele Farm, 2498 White Cloud Road, two miles south of Freeport off Route 356.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for senior citizens and $10 for students.

Four field trips will show participants some of the Bartramian Audubon Society's wildlife sanctuaries and explore their natural habitats. The trips are free and residents may participate in any or all of them. The trips are:The Robert A. GREENSBURG — Butler County exhibitors will participate in the 20th annual Pennsylvania Arts and Crafts Colonial Festival taking place Friday through Monday at the Westmoreland Fairgrounds off Route 30.Participating will be Harry Pittman of Evans City, Jim and Connie Pinkerton of Prospect, Lisa Tracy of Butler and Narintra Gold of West Sunbury.Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.Admission is $6 for adults, $5.50 for senior citizens, and $1 for children ages 6 to 12.
