Barbara (Ivanore) Cousins Brewster Scott
Barbara (Ivanore) Cousins Brewster Scott, 89, passed on to Heaven on July 18 at the Saxony Health Center in Saxonburg.
She was born Sept. 26, 1923, to James Conway Cousins and Mabel Elizabeth Rigby Cousins in the Butler area.
Barbara “Ike” lived in Butler until 1955, when she and her three children moved to Southern California and settled in Bell Gardens with her second husband, William Scott. Barbara and Bill completed their family in California with two more children.
Barbara worked for Woolworth’s in Butler, and at Ben Franklin Department Store in Bell Gardens, Calif.
Barbara lived her life as a devoted and hardworking mother, raising five children and a very loving Nana to all of her grandchildren. She had a passion for gardening and always created beautiful flower gardens that brought joy to her family and neighbors.
Surviving relatives are her sister, Jessie Cousins Cavaliero of Butler; son, Sammy Brewster of Butler; daughter, Katherine Scott Blom of Huntington Beach, Calif., and son, Anthony Scott of California. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Lisa Espinoza, Jamie Michelle Knight, Shannon Bollinger, Jillian Nicole Blom, Gregory Scott Blom, Anthony Scott II and Dillon Scott, and her great-grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Emily and Nehemiah.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Sam) Brewster in 1954, her second husband, William R. Scott, in 1964; her daughter, Bonnie Brewster Knight, in 2003, and son, Don Brewster, in 2012.

SCOTT — There will be no services in Pennsylvania for Barbara (Ivanore) Cousins Brewster Scott, who passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, but a memorial celebration of life service is being planned in California to coincide with Barbara's 90th birthday.For further details regarding memorial, please contact katherinescottblom@yahoo.com
