Fredrick Randall

Fredrick A. Randall, 79, of Grove City passed away suddenly at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Grove City Medical Center, Grove City.

He was born on Oct. 7, 1933, in New Castle, and was the son of William S. Randall and Margaret K. Nelson Randall.

He married Judith C. Borchert on Oct. 24, 1953. They were married for almost 60 years.

He retired in 1992 from the Sharon Steel Corp., where he was a bundler inspector for 40 years. Previously he worked for the Ideal Bakery and the Howe Coffee Co. for one year each.

He was a member of the East Main Presbyterian Church in Grove City.

Fred served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956.

He was a member of the U.S. Steel Workers, local 1197, and he was a past member of the former Grove City Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, at home; three children, Steve Randall and his wife, Carol, of New Orleans, La., Ken Randall and his wife, Lori, of Butler and Alan Randall and his wife, Cathie, of Exton, Pa.; eight grandchildren, and one brother, the Rev. William Randall and his wife, Avis, of Muskegon, Mich.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kathleen Poole, and one brother, Robert Randall.

RANDALL — Visitation hours for Fredrick A. Randall, who passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013, will be at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.A funeral service will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Bill Hoffman, pastor of the East Main Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Union Home Cemetery, Wolf Creek Township.Memorial tributes can be made to the East Main Presbyterian Church, 120 E. Main St., Grove City, PA 16127.
