PETROLIA — The North Washington Volunteer Fire Department's 54th annual professional rodeo continues through Saturday at the Rodeo Arena, 2225 Oneida Valley Road.
Billed as “the Rodeo Capital of the East,” the show goes on at 8 p.m. each day, rain or shine.
Gates open at 6 p.m. with free concerts at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $14 for adults and $6 for children ages 4 to 12.
Events include bareback bronc riding, calf roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, cowgirls' barrel racing, cowgirls' breakaway roping, team roping and bull riding.

VALENCIA — The Harmony Line Chorus of the Barbershop Harmony Society, and the Greater Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adelines International will sponsor a free a cappella singing festival from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 5 at Glade Run Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road (Route 8).This singing workshop is for young men and women at least age 13 and all music educators.Provided will be vocal instruction from professional, certified barbershop singers, along with music, learning tracks, lunch and a festival T-shirt.This workshop is not a recruitment tool for the choruses. SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock Heritage Association will host the 14th annual car cruise during Slippery Rock Heritage Days. The cruise will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 15. Main Street will be closed to through traffic.Car registration is $5. TITUSVILLE — Drake Well Museum and the Friends of Drake Well will host the Drake Day Circus from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the museum, 202 Museum Lane.Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and $5 for children ages 3 to 11.The Drake Day Circus is modeled on circuses that traveled to Titusville, Pithole and other locations throughout Pennsylvania’s oil region during the 1860s.A professional circus troupe from Bacchanal Promotions in Detroit will headline, performing acts of juggling, fire eating, acrobatics and magic.
