Leonard J. Kriley, 88, of Butler died Friday at the VNA Hospice in Butler.

He was born on May 28, 1925, in Butler. He was the son of the late John J. and Marie Gillespie Kriley. He was married to Laura Jean McKinney, who he married Feb. 4, 2006.

He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where he served as an altar server and as an usher. He also operated the camera to air the Mass for many years. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans for many years. He enjoyed golf, boccie ball and horse shoeing.

He retired from the Butler School District, where he worked in the maintenance department. He previously worked for Castle Rubber, Pullman Standard, and the VA Medical Center.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia (Barry) Haughin of Boardman, Ohio, and Marsha Kriley of Seminole, Fla.; four stepsons; 13 stepgrandchildren; three brothers, the Rev. Victor Kriley OFM CAP, Adrian Kriley and John Kriley; and six sisters, Mary Carbin, Aline Goodrich, Sr. Frances Kriley, Helen Grence, Pearl Kocher and Rita Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean May Sweeney Kriley; one brother; and one sister.

KRILEY — Friends of Leonard J. Kriley, who died Friday, July 19, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. in Butler. Burial will be the Calvary Cemetery in Butler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice in Butler.
