Victoria Susan 'Vickie' Loomis

Victoria Susan “Vickie” Loomis, 49, of New Sewickley Township passed away Sunday while under the care of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born May 11, 1964, in West Covina, Calif., she was the daughter of Arthur and Alice (Teets) Loomis of Rochester.

Vickie was a Catholic and a former member of the St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople. She was a 1982 graduate of Freedom High School.

Vickie was most recently employed by Giant Eagle in Gibsonia, where she decorated cakes for the bakery department.

She enjoyed tending to her house plants, gardening and being outdoors. Vickie had the pleasure of traveling overseas and loved to decorate her home for the holidays. Above all, Vickie was looking forward to welcoming her first grandchild into the world.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Nichole Valimont and her husband, Derrek, of New Sewickley Township; her dear and caring friend, Ed Paytas of Pittsburgh; her sister, Penelope DeSanzo of New Sewickley Township; her three brothers, Christopher Loomis and his wife, Linda, of Monaca, James Loomis and his wife, Cindy, of Cranberry Township and Kenneth Loomis of Lakeworth, Fla.; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Arthur and Doris Loomis; her maternal grandparents, Paul and Belle Teets; her brother, John Loomis; and her nephews, Jessie Loomis and Ryan Stepnick.

LOOMIS — The family of Victoria Susan “Vickie” Loomis, who passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, Father Lawrence R.
