Marie C. (Lang) Rieseck
Marie C. (Lang) Rieseck, 88, of Colchester, Conn., formerly of Cranberry Township, passed away Sunday.
Born Feb. 16, 1925, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late George and Marie (Zierenberg) Lang.
Marie was a former member of the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. She was also a former president of the Christian Mothers at the St. Kilian Parish in Mars.
During World War II, she worked as a welder in Ambridge.
For most of her life, Marie was a dedicated wife and mother to her husband and children. She loved being a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed taking photographs, writing letters to family and friends and playing cards and board games. She was very artistic and enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing and embroidery.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her four loving children, Ronald Rieseck and his wife, Charlene, of Connecticut, Rebecca Greenslet and her husband, David, of Vermont, Charles Rieseck of Connecticut and Kathleen Lazarowski and her husband, Troy, of Kansas; her two granddaughters, Heather Rieseck and Amanda Greenslet; and numerous extended relatives.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Walter H. Rieseck, who she married on Aug. 22, 1945, and who passed away on Aug. 20, 1999; her four sisters, Ethel, Anna, Margaret and Elsie; and her four brothers, George, Elmer, Edward and William.

(Lang) Rieseck, who passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, will welcome friends from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Friday at the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.
